A fine and rare rose quartz group pierced and worked as two vessels, one in the form of a section of tree trunk with gnarled branches of fruiting peach and pomegranate in high relief and the other in the form of lingzhi fungus with smaller branches of lingzhi growing from the base. The whole is well worked and hollowed.

This subject is rare in rose quartz, being more usually found in jade. Peaches and lingzhi fungus are symbolic of longevity and pomegranates are fertility emblems.
