HARDSTONE

114

A very fine chalcedony group comprising two vases, each worked in the form of a length of knotty tree trunk. The larger vase is worked in high relief with large branches of prunus and fruiting peach and with two bats, the smaller vase with lingzhi fungus. The stone is a fine creamy-white and red tone, the red skilfully used within the design.
