An archaic bronze beaker (gu), the flaring mouth is decorated with four blades filled with dense leiwen. The middle and lower registers are divided by fOur vertical, notched flanges, and are decorated with taotie motifs very finely executed in minute detail. The interior foot has a pictogram. The bronze has a mellow, green patina.
