The subject of Chinese bronze mirrors has sometimes been overlooked in the past, despite the fact that their appreciation, collection and study has a long history, particularly in China. They are relevant to expanding our insight and knowledge of China’s cultural history, and recently there has been a resurgence of interest in these fascinating objects. We are therefore delighted to offer for sale this small collection.

The mirrors have been collected over the past forty years by a couple with a love of Chinese art. Their discerning eye led to a desire to seek out the more unusual and interesting examples.
