Winter Catalogue 2009

We are pleased to present our Winter exhibition catalogue that coincides with Asian Art in London.

Many of the exhibits offered for sale have remained unseen since they were originally purchased, so in some cases we are able to view and appraise them with new eyes. It is a compliment to their previous owners that they understood and appreciated these objects’ rarity and aesthetic qualities without the advantage of the wealth of research and information that has been forthcoming in recent years and that has benefited us and enhanced our own knowledge and appreciation.

We are fortunate to offer for sale ceramics and works of art from many distinguished collectors. Some prefer to remain anonymous, but others we are able to name, and they include David Berg, Sir Frederick Bruce, E. T. Chow, Mrs Christian R. Holmes, H. M. Knight,  Ira and Nancy Koger, S. H. Minkenhof, J. P. Morgan, H. R. N. Norton and Arthur M. Sackler.
We look forward to welcoming visitors to Asian Art in London, and we hope that those who are unable to make the journey enjoy the catalogue.
