96 A very fine Imperial jade moon flask and cover: the flask, with two monster-mask handles issuing from the waisted neck, stands on a spreading foot; each side of the flask is worked in relief with a medallion containing a confronting, vigorously curling, scaly dragon pursuing a flaming pearl amid flower scrolls; he narrow sides with leaf designs; and the neck with pendent leaves in lower relief. The rims are incised with bands of key-fret. The cover is worked with a leaf and pendent pearl design below a stepped, flared knop. The stone is a rich spinach-green tone with some mottling. With a carved wood stand.
