Neolithic period, Liangzhu culture,
circa 2500 BC
Diameter: 8 1/4 in, 20.9 cm
worked from a thick slab of stone with a central hole pierced from both sides.

A fine jade ceremonial axe blade
Neolithic period or Shang dynasty,
circa 2000–1500 BC
Length: 13 1/2 in, 34.3 cm
formed from a substantial piece of jade, the blade flares slightly from the butt end to a curved, bevelled cutting edge, and has convex faces.
