| 68 A fine and rare glass bowl 18th century Diameter: 4 1/8 in, 10.5 cm supported on a circular foot, the U-shaped body terminates in a gently everted, scalloped rim. The sides are carved in relief with bands of overlapping lotus petals, and each petal is incised with fine lines. The foot is similarly decorated with bands of petals surrounding a cross-hatched stamen. The metal is an even, opaque, deep egg-yolk yellow tone. ![]() |
| In its form, colour and attention to detail, this is a particularly fine example of the craftsmans art.
